How I look after what you send me.

Short version: I only use your details to reply to you and to do the work you ask for. I don't sell them, share them for marketing, or track you round the internet.

Who I am

Caola is run by Gary, a sole trader in Paisley, PA3. For anything on this page, email hello@caola.co.uk or phone 07300 837 220.

What I collect

• If you fill in the form: your business name, what you do, any link you paste, the package you pick, your name, your phone number or email, and anything else you choose to write.
• If you phone, WhatsApp or email: your number or email address and whatever you tell me.
• If you become a customer: the words, photos and details you send for your website, and what I need to invoice you.

What I use it for

To reply to your enquiry, to build and look after your website if you ask me to, and to invoice you. That's it. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract, and then the contract itself.

Where it's kept

• Form messages are received through Netlify, who host this website, and forwarded to my business email.
• Email is handled by Google (Gmail).
• WhatsApp messages stay in WhatsApp.

Netlify and Google may store data outside the UK. Both use the legal safeguards the UK requires for that.

How long I keep it

If an enquiry doesn't turn into a job, I delete it within 12 months. If you become a customer, I keep what I need for as long as I'm looking after your website, and invoices for as long as HMRC says I have to.

Cookies and tracking

This website doesn't set any cookies and doesn't use tracking or advertising tools. That's why there's no cookie banner.

Your rights

You can ask to see what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Just email hello@caola.co.uk. If you're not happy with how I've handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
